About:
Artur is a Dublin based architectural photographer, traditional B&W film photography (and darkroom) tutor and architect.
STATEMENT
I specialise in architectural and interior photography, urban landscapes and also portraiture. My architectural background allows me to perceive photographed subject and its surrounding in more detailed way with regards to composition and design itself. I compose images while walking, observing perspective, shapes, light and shadow at the same time.
While my commercial photography is mostly digital from inception to completion, my entire personal work is film based and I am boundlessly devoted to traditional analog photography. I admire endless possibilities and quality of handmade images.
BIO
Artur graduated in Architecture and Urban Design from Krakow University of Technology in 2000. He started his photography career about 7 years later. That was the moment when he decided to turn his biggest passion into a profession slowly stepping away from architectural path where he spent over 10 years. In 2011 Artur was awarded ‘Black and White Photographer of the Year’ in ‘Time’ single image category by ‘Black+White Photography’, UK based magazine and nominated in a few categories in 2012, 2015 and 2017 editions of the same competition. Since then his works have been exhibited and published number of times in Ireland, UK, Germany, France, US, Canada, Hungary and Poland.
I offer selected photographs (from personal projects) as a limited edition fine art prints and also as an open edition mounted prints. Please contact me for details.
My limited edition prints are in private collections in Ireland, Switzerland, Poland, Spain, US, Canada and Japan.
