BIOGRAPHY

Artur graduated in Architecture and Urban Design from Krakow University of Technology in 2000 and spent over 10 years working as an architect. He started his photography career in 2007 slowly stepping away from the architectural designer’s path. Passion for architecture has been always there and will remain as such but the form of expression has changed. In 2011 Artur was awarded ‘Black and White Photographer of the Year’ in ‘Time’ single image category by ‘Black+White Photography’, UK based magazine and nominated in a few categories in 2012, 2015 and 2017 editions of the same competition. Since then his works have been exhibited and published a number of times in Ireland, UK, Germany, France, US, Canada, Hungary and Poland (photography magazines, architectural magazines and newspapers). This includes photographs from the personal and commercial portfolio.

STATEMENT

I specialise in architectural photography. Architecture is a broad spectrum art form, which combines applied and visual aspect of the creative process. It also or perhaps above all, has an important meaning for the places where it is being exposed and deep connection with the environment. It is the result of a creative process which has a unique influence for generations.
When photography became my main form of expression, I decided to develop it along with my passion for architecture and its visual aspects - forms, details, textures, light, shadows, surrounding landscape. My architectural background allows me to perceive photographed subjects and their surroundings in a more detailed way regarding composition and design itself.
My goal is to represent an architect’s vision. Ultimately, my photography is a cognitive process resulting in a visual representation of an architect’s creative thoughts.

I offer selected photographs (from personal projects) as a limited edition fine art prints and also as an open edition mounted prints. Please contact me for details.

My limited edition prints are in private collections in Ireland, Switzerland, Poland, Spain, US, Canada and Japan.
